A personal editorial feature by Epic Beyond Ordinary
Some fitness journeys start with a dramatic before photo, a new pair of takkies, and enough motivation to last about three business days.
Mine started with frustration.
I felt stuck. My weight was messing with my head. My energy wasn’t where I wanted it to be. My body was changing through menopause, and because I live with celiac disease, food was never going to be a simple “just eat this” situation.
That’s where Sunel V Fitness became more than a fitness name on my phone.
Sunel Visser has been part of my health and fitness journey since 2022, first through a fitness collaboration, and later as a paid part of my personal wellness routine. This feature is based on my own experience with her, my own training, my own progress, and the kind of support that made me want to launch the first Epic Approved feature with Sunel V Fitness.
Because some people deserve the stamp.
Sunel does.
Starting again, properly this time
In January 2026, I started again.
Not in the dramatic “new year, new me” way. More in the “right, enough now, let’s stop pretending my leggings are the problem” way.
I started January with Sunel’s 28 Day Gut Reset. Once my gut health was sorted, I followed a high-protein meal plan and started training with her twice a week. One strength training session. One HIIT session. Clear structure. Real accountability. No fluffy nonsense.
What made this different for me was how personal it felt.
Sunel didn’t hand me a generic meal plan and hope for the best. She took my celiac disease into account. She adjusted my training as menopause changed how my body responded. She pushed me, but never in a reckless way. She knew when to challenge me and when to adapt.
That matters.
Especially when your body isn’t playing along like it used to.
The gut reset that changed how I paid attention
One of the biggest things I learned through Sunel’s guidance is how much your gut can affect your overall wellbeing.
I don’t think people realise how connected everything feels until something is off.
For me, the 28 Day Gut Reset helped me pay closer attention to what my body responds to, what triggers it, and what supports me better. As someone with celiac disease, that was a big part of my journey.
This was never about chasing a quick fix.
It was about learning what works for my body and building from there.
Less panic. More structure.
Less guessing. More guidance.
Less “why is this happening?” and more “okay, now I know what to do next.”
The results weren’t only physical
Yes, there were visible results.
From 28 January 2026 to 16 June 2026, my MeThreeSixty data showed:
But the numbers aren’t the entire story.
The bigger result was that I felt more focused, disciplined, and in control of my choices. My mindset shifted. My energy improved. I started trusting the process because I could feel that it was built around me, not around a copy-paste fitness template.
The scale changed, yes.
But so did my relationship with my body.
And that part matters more than people admit.
What stood out
Sunel’s approach is personal, direct, and realistic.
She brings proper knowledge to the table, but she also brings the kind of practical support that makes you feel like you’re not doing this alone.
What stood out most for me:
That combination is rare.
Fitness can be intimidating. Especially when you’re restarting, dealing with health challenges, or trying to make sense of a body that no longer responds the way it used to.
Sunel makes it feel doable.
Not easy. Doable.
There’s a difference.

Why Sunel V Fitness gets the Epic Stamp of Approval
Because Sunel goes beyond the standard fitness service.
