This is Epic Beyond Ordinary
Another load-shedding notification ever so visible at the top of my phone, leaves me with the mindset to join my husband who was on his way out of office to see clients in Betty's Bay (nothing better to do in office for me without electricity in any case!)
After a few client meetings, it was our rumbling stomachs that started communicating and creating awareness that we need to make a pitstop before heading back to our home office!
With gale force wind and some light rain we decide to turn into Rooiels and on the left we observe this gorgeous building and my curios self just could not resist to stop and pop in to see if their food and service is just as inviting as this interesting building we have before us in the parking lot!
This Family Style Restaurant is situated close to Kleinmond's main beach and has an inviting summertime stoep, where you have a stunning view of the lagoon, mountains and sea of course!
They even have a load-shedding menu when we get stuck with load-shedding to ensure we don't get upset with the staff for not being able to assist us with our food of choice... COVID-19 protocol is in place as they check your temperature upon arrival, the seating ensures social distancing and the staff wears their masks at all times!
They serve Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner and a variety of drink options (non-alcoholic & alcoholic)
Nestled in the Elgin Valley this hidden (gem) market is an absolute must! It's family friendly and something interesting for young and old... They have a variety of stalls which is indoors, so not even the weather is an excuse to take a drive out to Elgin and go spend a Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon there.
They have a fireplace that warms up everything and there are stalls from top to bottom. You even here the welcoming sounds of live music as you enter the main building where most of the food stalls are.
And YES they have COVID-19 protocols in place, from the car guards wearing masks (and reminding you to take yours at the car) to all the staff - as you enter the building they take your temperature and there are sanitizing stations on both sides of the entrance as well, so no excuses there either!
